[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Comedian Yoon Taek has lost his father.
On March 29, his agency DCLEnT announced that Im Jong-gak, Yoon’s father, passed away that morning at the age of 83 after a long illness. The agency said Yoon is at the family’s side, mourning with relatives at the funeral home.
The wake has been set up in Room 17 of the Sinchon Severance Hospital funeral hall in Seoul. The primary mourners include his sons Im Seong-taek, Im Min-taek and Yoon Taek (born Im Yoon-taek), along with daughters-in-law So Jeong-hwa and Kim Young-jo.
On March 25, Yoon appeared on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block and spoke about his father’s critical condition. He broke down on air, expressing deep love and a wish to remain at his father’s side until the end, a moment that drew widespread sympathy from viewers.
DCLEnT asked for consideration and privacy so the artist can respectfully see his father off with his family. The agency added that it is working with partners to adjust Yoon’s upcoming schedule.
The funeral procession is scheduled for 7:20 a.m. on the 31st, and the burial will take place in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province.
