[Sports Today reporter Kang Tae-gu] SSG Landers (CEO Kim Jae-seop, hereafter SSG) recorded a sellout for the second game of the season opener against the KIA Tigers at Incheon SSG Landers Field on the 29th, marking consecutive sold-out games.
At 10:15 a.m., SSG sold all seats at Incheon SSG Landers Field (23,000 seats), extending its streak of selling out the two-game season opener to four straight years since 2023.
Coming off a season in which it became the first Incheon-based club to surpass 1 million fans three years in a row and set a franchise attendance record with 1,281,093 fans, SSG opened the 2026 season with another sellout of its opening series, raising expectations for new milestones.
For the home opener, SSG launched \”LANDERS RED FESTA,\” a fan-focused celebration. Frontier Square hosts pop-up shops from group affiliates such as e-mart and SSG.com, offering custom merch stations, chef-collaborated boxed lunches and a variety of fan programs.
Participation events have been beefed up, including a fan-decorated \”Fan-Made Backwall\” and a large-scale \”Red Carnival Parade.\” The club designated the opening series dress code as \”RED\” and unveiled a remade fight song, \”Fiery Fighting Spirit!,\” to build a unified cheering culture. After each game, the \”Frontier Night Market\” will continue to offer food and entertainment for fans.
SSG said it will continue to provide fans with top-tier viewing conditions and entertainment throughout the season, beginning with the two-game opener.
