[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Pop singer Jeon So-mi says she was recently the target of an embarrassing recognition snub.
On the March 30 broadcast of SBS’s No, But Seriously!, Jeon So-mi is set to make a lively entrance and immediately launch into a dance battle with the show’s four MCs, promising one of the episode’s biggest laugh lines.
During the show, she revealed she carries three passports — South Korean, Dutch and Canadian — and showed them on camera. \”I use my Korean passport the most. I use the Dutch one when I travel to Europe, and the Canadian one when I go to the U.S.,\” she said, highlighting the perks of dual (or triple) citizenship. When Kai teased that Suzy must have multiple passports too, Lee Su-ji fired back in a Lin Zhaoming-style delivery, \”I have about 18,\” drawing more laughter.
The singer, known for her \”Power E\” personality, also shared a memorable anecdote. She said her car died in the middle of Yeonhui-dong, but she actually enjoyed the moment because she felt everyone was watching her — a confession that had the studio in stitches.
Jeon also recounted a recognition fail. In Hongdae, a man asked for her number; she revealed her face to turn him down, but he didn’t recognize her and replied, \”You look exotic,\” which sent the cast into fits of laughter.
The set was stunned again when Jeon confessed that a fortune-teller told her she is likely to marry this year. \”I had my fortune read, and they said this year is the strongest for marriage. There may be faint chances later, but this year is peak,\” she said, lamenting that marriage isn’t possible for her right now. Tak Jae-hoon offered a practical rejoinder: \”It’s better to postpone marriage and death as long as you can.\”
