Shinsegae Department Store announced on March 27 that it will host its first-half Golf Fair at all locations from March 28 through April 6.
This year’s event has been significantly expanded to approximately 30 billion KRW (about $22,500,000), a big increase from last year. Shinsegae plans to attract shoppers with exclusive in-house items, marked-down clearance stock, and a rotating lineup of golf pop-ups.
Popular brands such as J.Lindeberg, PXG, Philipp Plein Golf, G/FORE, Amazing Cre, and Descente Golf will showcase apparel and equipment. Golf clubs favored by enthusiasts will be offered exclusively through the Shinsegae Golf Shop, highlighted by the shop-exclusive PRGR 25th Super Egg Platinum driver.
Each store’s event hall will run discounted clearance sales. At the Gangnam branch, the 7th-floor bridge and void spaces will host a relay of pop-up stores. The series kicks off with rebranded American golf label Munsingwear, followed by Adidas Golf Originals, Bogey Boys (launched by U.S. hip-hop artist Macklemore), and Jones, known for its simple, classic designs.
“For this first-half Golf Fair, we’ve planned our largest event yet — featuring trendy golf wear, gear, clubs, and clearance finds,” said Sun Hyun-woo, head of fashion at Shinsegae Department Store. “It will be the best shopping opportunity for golfers preparing for spring rounds.”
