[Sports Today reporter Jeong Ye-won] High Up Entertainment has confirmed that its next girl group will debut in April.
On March 25, a company representative said the agency’s newest act is in the final stages of album preparation as it targets an April debut.
The group will be High Up’s first new act since STAYC, arriving roughly six years after that debut, and it has already generated strong interest from fans around the world ahead of any formal reveal. In particular, Na Haeun — a 2009-born dancer and content creator who gained recognition as a dance prodigy on programs such as Star King and at the 2018 Melon Music Awards — has joined the lineup, raising expectations for a technically skilled, next-generation K-pop act.
As High Up’s first girl group since STAYC, observers are watching to see what concept and creative direction the company will pursue. The label, which established STAYC’s distinctive \”teen-fresh\” identity, is expected to draw on its robust production and songwriting resources to deliver a tightly crafted, high-quality group.
The agency said additional details about the group will be revealed in stages leading up to the April debut.
