[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] ITZY’s Yuna reflected on her first foray into acting with the tvN drama Undercover Miss Hong.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, Yuna held a press conference to mark the release of her solo debut album Ice Cream in the Grand Ballroom on the first floor of the Pullman Ambassador Seoul Eastpol in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
She recently wrapped the series and said the experience was meaningful. In the drama she played Hong Jang-mi, the younger sister of Park Shin-hye’s character, Hong Geum-bo, and her performance drew positive attention.
\”‘Undercover Miss Hong’ was my first acting challenge,\” Yuna said. \”It was a wonderful opportunity. I prepared carefully because I didn’t want to let the production down, and I’m grateful that people noticed my effort.\”
Addressing the recent resurgence of \”THAT’S A NO NO,\” she expressed appreciation: \”I’m thankful that ‘THAT’S A NO NO’ climbed back onto the charts. It gained momentum right before my solo activities, and I’m grateful for all the love.\”
She added, \”Along with ‘THAT’S A NO NO,’ I hope listeners will give a lot of love to my solo song ‘Ice Cream’ as well.\”
Meanwhile, at 6 p.m. that day Yuna released her first solo album Ice Cream and its title track, becoming ITZY’s second member to debut solo after Yeji.
Yuna’s solo debut, \”Ice Cream,\” is a buoyant, addictive bubblegum-pop track. It carries the message: like ice cream melting sweetly in this moment, don’t let it pass—savor it fully—and aims to energize listeners.
The new release includes the title track \”Ice Cream\” alongside \”B-Boy,\” which captures a free-spirited mood; \”Blue Maze,\” a soft, dreamlike take on moments of love; and \”Hyper Dream,\” which layers dramatic, glittering sounds and invites listeners to leap into a dream world. The collection offers a variety of tracks for listeners to enjoy.
