[Sports Today reporter Im Si-ryeong] Former NU’EST member Kim Jong-hyun has been discharged from military service.
On March 22, Kim posted on his social media, “Pilseung! (Victory!) I’m discharged. Thank you so much to AndU for waiting for one year and six months. I was able to get through it because of you.”
He said he will host a discharge livestream on March 23 at 8:00 p.m. KST. “Let’s meet tomorrow and have some fun,” he added, signing off with a heart emoji and thanking fans again for their long wait.
Kim debuted with NU’EST in 2012 and launched his solo career after the group’s disbandment in 2022. He has also acted in dramas including “I’ll Be Your Night,” “The First Kiss Is the Beginning,” “Sound Candy,” and “My Friend’s Graduation.” He enlisted as an active-duty soldier in September 2024 and completed one year and six months of service before being discharged.
