Crush’s “Miwo” Makes Surprising Comeback on Music Charts
Singer Crush’s track “Miwo,” released in November 2023, is making waves as it climbs back up various music charts in an unexpected surge of popularity.
The song re-entered Melon’s Top 100 at No. 100 on March 1 and has since skyrocketed to No. 54 as of 8 a.m. on March 4.
“Miwo” is also gaining traction on other platforms. It ranked No. 54 on YouTube Music’s domestic weekly songs chart and No. 28 on the weekly popular artists chart for February 20-26. On Spotify, it reached No. 16 on the daily popular songs chart on March 2, showcasing its growing appeal across multiple streaming services.
The track, one of four title songs from Crush’s third studio album “wonderego,” saw its resurgence kick off after a popular dance crew launched a “Miwo Challenge” in early February. The challenge quickly caught fire on social media.
Adding fuel to the trend, members of K-pop powerhouses like IVE, Kiki, NCT WISH, BoyNextDoor, TOURS, VERIVERY, and Kickflip joined in on the challenge, further propelling the song’s popularity. Fans and industry watchers are now eagerly anticipating how far “Miwo” will climb on the charts.
Crush, known for his unique sound and loyal fanbase, is currently showcasing his producing skills on Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 12” alongside longtime friend and collaborator Zico. The duo recently dropped a single titled “Yin and Yang,” which Crush later reworked into a “Fancy Child” version featuring Dean and Penomeco, highlighting his versatility in the music scene.
Beyond music, Crush is expanding his reach. He was recently tapped as the new face of skincare brand La Roche-Posay, solidifying his presence across music, television, live performances, and now advertising.
