Legendary performer Kim Jang-hoon is set to appear on ‘Hidden Singer 8’.

JTBC has confirmed the premiere date for ‘Hidden Singer 8’ on March 31st and released a teaser introducing their latest original artist. The spotlight is on Kim Jang-hoon, known as the ‘eternal showman on stage,’ who has been a powerhouse in Korea’s music industry for 36 years with his unique vocal style and electrifying stage presence.

Often referred to by his nickname ‘Forest Hoon,’ Kim is credited with inspiring more vocal impersonators in South Korea than any other artist. His distinctive style has been emulated by various performers, from Noel’s Kang Kyun-sung and TV personality Joo Woo-jae to BTS’s Jungkook, establishing the ‘Kim Jang-hoon vocal technique’ as a genre in its own right.

In the teaser, Kim exudes confidence, stating, \”Those trying to match the original – me – still have a long way to go.\” He boasts, \”You have to sing my songs to truly understand their difficulty.
