TV personality Park Na-rae is set to face police questioning as a defendant amid allegations of managerial abuse.
Sources close to Park revealed that she will appear at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on the 12th for interrogation.
The controversy erupted last December when Park’s former managers alleged workplace bullying, physical assault, unauthorized prescriptions, and unpaid fees during their employment.
Two ex-managers, identified as A and B, have filed charges against Park for assault, defamation, violating the Information and Communications Network Act, and embezzlement.
In a countermove, Park has filed her own complaint with the Yongsan Police Station, accusing the former managers of attempted extortion and embezzlement.
With both parties having completed their initial statements, all eyes are on Park’s upcoming questioning – her first time as a defendant.
Authorities are also probing the “IV Aunt” scandal that surfaced during the managers’ exposé. This controversy involves allegations of illegal medical practices performed without proper licensing on Park and other celebrities.
Interestingly, Park’s Disney+ reality show “War of Destiny 49” is slated to premiere on the 11th, just a day before her police interrogation.
