K-pop sensation Le Sserafim has clinched the top spot on Japan’s Oricon weekly singles chart with their first domestic single, “Spaghetti.”
On the 10th, their label Source Music announced, “Le Sserafim’s ‘Spaghetti’ has secured the number one position on Japan’s Oricon weekly singles chart.” The agency added, “Despite being released over three months ago in October, ‘Spaghetti’ continues to captivate audiences.” They highlighted the significance of this achievement, noting, “This marks the first time in three years that a foreign female artist has topped this prestigious chart.”
This isn’t Le Sserafim’s first taste of Oricon success. The group previously hit number one on the same chart with their Japanese debut single “Fearless” in 2023. Now, with “Spaghetti,” they’ve proven their staying power by reclaiming the chart’s summit.
Looking ahead, Le Sserafim is set to make waves at Japan’s premier music event, Summer Sonic 2024, scheduled for this August.
