[AP News] SOOP Co., Ltd., led by co-CEOs Seo Soo-gil and Choi Young-woo, unveiled their ‘2026 Lunar New Year Special Page’ on February 10th. This digital hub showcases an array of holiday-themed content, offering diverse entertainment options for viewers during the festive period.
The special page serves as a one-stop destination for key content, featuring live streamer broadcasts, cinematic offerings, and interactive events throughout the Lunar New Year celebration.
In the live tab, viewers can expect engaging streamer-led content. Highlights include a “Cooking Challenge Program,” where culinary novices attempt to whip up dishes, and the “Golden Bag Competition,” showcasing rookie streamers tackling various missions.
The lineup also boasts a “Lunar New Year Global Streamer Exchange Tour,” offering international streamers a chance to immerse themselves in Korean holiday traditions. Popular streamer Gamst will star in “Chubyungdae,” a military-themed reality show. Virtual streamers will take center stage in programs like the “Lunar New Year Virtual Crew Battle” and “Croa Yutnori Competition,” adding a digital twist to traditional games.
“Cinetti,” SOOP’s interactive viewing platform, will roll out a holiday-centric content selection. A dedicated tab will house movies, dramas, and animations, with the full schedule set to be announced during an official broadcast on February 13th.
The events tab will feature both streamer-led competitions and user participation challenges. A standout event is the “Lunar New Year Festival: Extraordinary Movement,” utilizing Evna Games’ “WASD.” This two-day tournament, scheduled for February 14th and 15th, will see 52 streamers competing in 13 four-person teams.
SOOP has also prepared a “VOD & Cinetti Lunar New Year Event.” Users can join in by completing simple tasks such as creating holiday-themed VODs, watching Cinetti content, and supporting their favorite streamers. This event kicks off before the holiday and runs through February 22nd.
