Cortis Martin tearfully disclosed his reaction to receiving royalty checks.

The YouTube channel ‘Theo’ aired an episode of the web variety show ‘Salon Drip 2’ on the afternoon of the 10th, featuring Martin and Gunho from the group Cortis as special guests.
Martin, who had already made waves by contributing to songs like Tomorrow X Together’s ‘Deja Vu’ and ATEEZ’s ‘Magnetic’ before his own debut, shared his experience. “I was incredibly honored and grateful when the company noticed my ongoing work and offered me composition opportunities,” he said. Martin explained that he jumped at the chance, believing he’d learn a lot even if the results weren’t immediate. “I was blown away by how well it turned out, and I owe it all to the amazing senior artists who performed the songs,” he added, expressing his gratitude.
When the topic of royalties came up, Martin’s face lit up with a broad smile. He recounted, “Initially, my mom was handling the finances. Then one day, I got a message from my parents asking, ‘Do you know how much came in for royalties this month?'” Martin admitted, “I just broke down in tears,” revealing how overwhelmed he was by the royalty figures.
Gunho, his fellow guest, quipped that he could always tell when it was royalty payday by the sudden influx of packages Martin ordered, eliciting laughter from the audience.
