ENHYPEN’s Latest Album Strikes Platinum in Japan, Continuing Global Success
ENHYPEN, the K-pop sensation comprising Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, and Niki, has achieved another milestone. Their mini-album “THE SIN: VANISH” has been certified platinum by the Japan Record Association, with over 250,000 units shipped as of January, the organization announced on February 10.
The Japan Record Association awards certifications monthly based on cumulative shipments: Gold for 100,000 units, Platinum for 250,000, and Double Platinum for 500,000.
The album’s success in Japan has been remarkable. It topped the Oricon Daily Album Ranking upon its January 21 release and clinched the #1 spot on Line Music’s Weekly Album Top 100 for January 14-20. The album has maintained a strong presence in the upper echelons of both Oricon and Billboard Japan weekly charts.
ENHYPEN’s impact extends beyond Japan. In their home country of South Korea, “THE SIN: VANISH” sold over 2.07 million copies in its first week, marking the group’s fourth double million-seller. The album also made waves in the United States, debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200. This achievement marks ENHYPEN’s sixth consecutive album to crack the top 10 on this prestigious chart.
