| Singer-songwriter Jang Beom-jun paid tribute to his close friend and former bandmate Park Kyung-goo. Jang shared a heartfelt video on his social media on February 9, titled ‘Best Live Clips of Park Kyung-goo’. The footage showcases Jang’s passionate performances of his hit songs “Between Hongdae and Konkuk University,” “A Person Who Fits the Word Love,” and “A Difficult Woman,” accompanied by his signature guitar playing. Park Kyung-goo, aged 38, passed away on February 7. While the exact cause of death remains undisclosed, the news was shared by Park’s cousin via social media. The funeral service was held at Namyangju Funeral Hall, with the burial taking place on February 9. Park’s final resting place is at Baekje Crematorium. Park and Jang were high school classmates, and their musical bond ran deep. Park contributed to every track on Jang’s debut album, demonstrating his immense talent. In a touching gesture last March, during the release of his fourth album “The History of Being a Loser,” Jang took to social media to express his wishes for Park’s good health. Park responded with a reassuring comment: “I’m healthy.” [Sports Today Reporter Jeong Ye-won ent@stoo.com] |
