The glass protection film “ARMORTEK” will make its debut at the “Osaka Auto Messe 2026” held at INTEX Osaka from February 13 to 15, 2026. The exhibition will feature two historic race cars from the Honda Collection Hall: the Honda Civic (which competed in the 1990 All-Japan Touring Car Championship) and the Civic WTCC (from the 2017 World Touring Car Championship).

The Honda Collection Hall, established in 1998, showcases over 150 of Honda’s iconic products and implements “dynamic preservation” to maintain historical two-wheel and four-wheel race machines in running condition. ARMORTEK has been adopted for various vehicles in the collection, including F1 machines and SUPER GT cars, supporting the activities of the Honda Collection Hall.

The 1990 Civic is a Group A machine based on the Civic Si-R, equipped with Honda’s innovative DOHC VTEC engine featuring variable valve timing and lift. It competed in Class 3 of the 1990 All-Japan Touring Car Championship, where the duo of Osamu Nakako and Hideki Okada secured two victories, helping Honda clinch its fourth consecutive manufacturers’ championship.

The 2017 Civic WTCC is the machine that Norbert Michelisz piloted in the World Touring Car Championship, fighting for the title until the final race and securing the highest ranking among Honda drivers at second place overall.

On February 13, the opening day of the Osaka Auto Messe, Ryo Michigami, who drove the displayed Civic WTCC and was the first Japanese regular driver in the World Touring Car Championship, will meet fans at the ARMORTEK booth. Michigami is renowned as Honda’s ace driver, having competed in various touring car races with the Civic and Accord, as well as clinching the 2000 series championship in the All-Japan GT Championship and SUPER GT with the NSX.
Concurrently, S&Company will transfer its ARMORTEK-related business to a newly established company, SP, to expand its operations. Furthermore, to demonstrate product performance and facilitate product development, the company has decided to enter the motorsport arena. They are currently in talks with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) to finalize a sponsorship agreement, with plans to support HRC’s two-wheel and four-wheel motorsport activities.
