Porsche has kicked off mass production of the groundbreaking Cayenne Electric, first revealed to the world in November 2025. The new model rolls off the assembly line at Porsche’s Bratislava plant in Slovakia, sharing production facilities with its gas-powered and hybrid Cayenne counterparts.

This move solidifies Porsche’s commitment to a flexible manufacturing approach, enabling the production of conventional, hybrid, and all-electric vehicles on a single line. This versatile setup allows Porsche to swiftly adjust production ratios in response to shifting regional demand.

At the heart of the Cayenne Electric’s competitive edge lies its cutting-edge battery technology. Porsche has taken full control of battery module development, producing these critical components entirely in-house at the ‘Porsche Smart Battery Shop’ near Horná Streda, close to Bratislava.

This state-of-the-art facility oversees every aspect of production, from cell preparation to final quality checks, maintaining the same rigorous standards applied to finished vehicles throughout the manufacturing process.
