T’way Air is taking flight into new territory, becoming the first South Korean budget airline to offer regular service to Jakarta, Indonesia. This bold move is set to shake up the Southeast Asian travel scene.
Mark your calendars, jet-setters! On February 10, T’way Air announced that tickets are now up for grabs for their new Incheon-Jakarta route, launching April 29.
This isn’t just any new route – it’s a game-changer. T’way Air is making history as the first Korean low-cost carrier to offer direct flights to Jakarta, the beating heart of Indonesia. And they’re doing it in style! Passengers will be whisked away on the spacious A330-300, featuring 12 luxe business class seats among its 347-seat capacity. With over seven hours of flying time, you’ll appreciate the extra comfort.
Ready for takeoff? The flights will run five days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). You’ll depart Incheon International Airport at 3:10 PM, touching down in Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 8:10 PM local time. For the return leg, you’ll leave Jakarta at 9:50 PM and land back in Incheon at 7:05 AM the next day. Total flight time? A breezy 7 hours and 10 minutes.
Jakarta isn’t just Indonesia’s capital – it’s a bustling metropolis where politics, business, and culture collide. It’s a hotspot for corporate travelers and the perfect jumping-off point for Indonesian adventures. From here, you’re just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the paradise beaches of Bali or the ancient wonders of Yogyakarta. With T’way Air joining the Jakarta route, budget-conscious travelers now have a wallet-friendly option alongside the big-name carriers.
A T’way Air spokesperson couldn’t contain their excitement: “Our new Incheon-Jakarta route is like a bridge to Southeast Asia’s coolest cities. We’re all about safe flights and stellar service that’ll make both business travelers and vacation-seekers smile.”
