The three ministers held a brief, roughly five\u2011minute exchange and posed for a group photo on the 30th (local time) at the Shangri\u2011La Hotel, the conference venue. It was the first in\u2011person meeting of the South Korea\u2011U.S.\u2011Japan defense ministers in about six months, following the ASEAN\u2011expanded defense ministers\u2019 meeting in Malaysia in November 2025.
