An assistant professor at the Air Force Academy has drawn public scrutiny after it was revealed he repeatedly posted politically biased statements and abusive comments from an anonymous social media account.<\/p>\n

On the 28th, JTBC’s Sagunbanjang reported a tip related to the assistant professor identified only as A.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The report says A graduated at the top of his class from the Air Force Academy and later returned to his alma mater as an assistant professor while serving on active duty. At his commissioning ceremony, he reportedly received his rank directly from former President Park Geun-hye.<\/p>\n

Once his anonymous account surfaced, investigators found repeated crude language and hateful posts online.<\/p>\n

Examples attributed to the account include: “Stop pretending to have a mental illness and just die,” “Let’s just massacre China,” “Has your brain been pickled in mala soup, you commie,” and “South Korea is an anti-China, pro-U.S. country.”<\/p>\n

In a post about the 6\u00b725 veterans memorial area in Gwanghwamun, he allegedly commented, “You think the \u20a9280 billion for the Sewol isn’t a loss but complain about \u20a920 billion for veterans? You leftist [expletive].” (\u20a9280 billion \u2248 $210 million; \u20a920 billion \u2248 $15 million)<\/p>\n

During the recent Starbucks “Tank Day” controversy, he posted a photo showing a Starbucks drink alongside a luxury foreign car emblem. The report also released evidence that he left sexually derogatory comments in response to a user who mentioned a specific Chinese coffee brand in calls to boycott Starbucks.<\/p>\n

According to the tipster, A did not display political leanings on his public account but used a separate anonymous account to continue posting political and hateful remarks.<\/p>\n

JTBC’s Sagunbanjang reminded viewers of the military’s duty of political neutrality, warning that violations can lead to criminal charges under military law in addition to administrative discipline. The program added that, as an educator, A’s conduct could have a significant impact on students.<\/p>\n

The Air Force Academy told the broadcaster that, after contacting the individual, he admitted the posts and acknowledged they were inappropriate.<\/p>\n

The academy said it will investigate the facts through internal inspection given the seriousness of the matter and the sensitivity of its timing.<\/p>\n

Sources say A has deleted all of his social media accounts.<\/p>\n
