On the 26th (local time), The Hill and other outlets reported that Kennedy uploaded the video to his X account (formerly Twitter). The footage shows him picking up two snakes that were mating in a corner of a terrace.In the video, his wife, Cheryl Hines, repeatedly shouts, “Why are you doing that?” Kennedy ignores her and raises the snakes toward the camera. One of the snakes bites his finger; he looks at the wound briefly but does not release the animal. Hines can be heard saying, “You’re not in your right mind.”The 72-year-old Kennedy has previously been criticized for other unusual interactions with animals. In 2014, he transported the carcass of a bear cub he found on the road to New York’s Central Park and abandoned it there. In a past interview, his daughter alleged that about 40 years ago he used a chainsaw to remove the head from a whale carcass that washed ashore on the Massachusetts coast.
