iQIYI\u2019s announcement \u2014 from one of the mainland\u2019s four largest streaming platforms \u2014 touched off immediate controversy. The company plans to use a subsidiary\u2019s AI program, Nadou Pro (\u7d0d\u9017Pro), to build multimodal datasets for contracted performers and to cast their AI likenesses in actual productions. Critics responded with strong objections.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to iQIYI, roughly 100 popular actors have joined the Nadou Pro multimodal data project, including Chen Zheyuan (29), Cheng Lei (32) and Zeng Shunxi (28).
