Kia is ramping up its presence as a global mobility brand by serving as the official mobility partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. The company will provide 660 vehicles to transport players, staff and officials to and from stadiums, integrating its fleet into the tournament\u2019s operational backbone rather than acting as a passive sponsor.<\/p>\n

On May 19 (local time), Kia held a vehicle handover ceremony at the Los Angeles stadium and confirmed it will supply 660 vehicles for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which runs June 11\u2013July 19.<\/p>\n

The 2026 World Cup will be the first jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, and the first to feature an expanded field of 48 teams. The number of matches will jump from 64 to 104, with games staged across 16 North American cities.<\/p>\n

That expansion inevitably increases transportation needs for teams, referees, operations staff, VIPs and tournament officials. Kia\u2019s fleet support is designed to do more than provide ceremonial rides\u2014it directly supports the tournament\u2019s logistics and efficiency.<\/p>\n

Kia\u2019s deployment includes key global models such as the Telluride, Sorento, Carnival, Sportage, K4, Niro and Sonet. By mixing large SUVs, minivans and electrified models, the company aims to meet the diverse mobility demands of a continent-wide event.<\/p>\n

The Telluride, in particular, has helped elevate Kia\u2019s standing in North America. For Kia, the World Cup is not just a sports sponsorship but a high-visibility opportunity to reinforce its brand in a core market. With global fans and media focused on the event, Kia expects routine fleet movements around tournament sites to generate meaningful brand exposure.<\/p>\n

Kia will also expand fan engagement through World Cup-themed displays and its Official Match Ball Carrier (OMBC) program. OMBC lets a child hand the official match ball to the referee and walk onto the pitch with the players\u2014one of Kia\u2019s signature fan participation initiatives under its FIFA partnership.<\/p>\n
