\n <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\u201cGolden,\u201d the original song from Netflix\u2019s animated feature K-pop Demon Hunters, won the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the Grammy Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles on the 1st (local time).<\/p>\n
The single reached No. 1 on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. Official Singles Chart Top 100, propelled by the film\u2019s international success. The award is presented to the song\u2019s credited songwriters.<\/p>\n
Songwriters EJAE (Lee Jae), Teddy, 24 and IDIO (Lee Yoo-han, Kwak Jung-gyu and Nam Hee-dong) all received Grammys for their work on the track. While recording engineer Hwang Byung-joon and Korean\u2011American artist Youngin have won Grammys in the past, this marks the first time K-pop songwriters or producers have been honored with the award.<\/p>\n
After the win, 24 dedicated the accolade to his mentor and friend Teddy\u2014often called a \u201cpioneer of K\u2011pop\u201d\u2014who was unable to attend.<\/p>\n
In the Best Pop Duo\/Group Performance category, nominees included Blackpink\u2019s Ros\u00e9 with \u201cApartment\u201d and Cats Eye\u2019s \u201cGabriella.\u201d The award went to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for their rendition of \u201cDefying Gravity\u201d from the Wicked soundtrack.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
