Or a real estate agency?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poster, who identified themself as A, wrote that the new employee\u2019s mother came to the company in person and insisted on examining the salary agreement.<\/p>\n<p>A wrote, \u201cThe new hire\u2019s mom came to the office saying she wanted to go over the salary contract together. This isn\u2019t a lease \u2014 even for someone just starting their career, does it make sense for a parent to review their adult child\u2019s salary contract?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the mother also protested the level of pay being offered.<\/p>\n<p>A recalled her saying, \u201cHow can the salary be this low? Given their qualifications, they should be earning much more.\u201d He added that HR eventually persuaded her the role falls within a fixed pay band and that salary increases would come over time.<\/p>\n<p>The new employee reportedly remained silent and did not react.<\/p>\n<p>A also noted a similar incident had happened at an acquaintance\u2019s company.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cJust a few months ago, a father barged into an acquaintance\u2019s office shouting, \u2018Bring out the senior who bullied my child!\u2019 I never expected something even more extraordinary to happen at our company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that he still laughs about it when he thinks back.<\/p>\n<p>Readers reacted with comments such as, \u201cIf it were me, I\u2019d say, \u2018I agree \u2014 this person isn\u2019t a fit here. Your child seems suited for a major company, so keep preparing for that,\u2019\u201d and questions like, \u201cCan the job offer be rescinded?\u201d Others said the incident showed poor judgment by
