Jeong Hee-yong, the party\u2019s secretary-general, said the election will determine who is best suited to protect people\u2019s livelihoods. He called for the party to come together as one team to hold the Democratic Party administration to account and pledged to lead the effort to build momentum, especially in Goryeong, Seongju and Chilgok.<\/p>\n
Gu Ja-geun, chair of the North Gyeongsang provincial chapter, urged campaign workers to avoid mistakes on the ground and to convey urgency, resolve and humility to voters. He called on the party leadership and Lee Cheol-woo to join forces to generate momentum that will spread beyond Daegu to the Busan\u2013Ulsan\u2013Gyeongnam region and then nationwide.<\/p>\n
Lee In-sun, head of the Daegu city party, said Daegu and North Gyeongsang are the heartland of the conservative right and the center of South Korea, and urged the region to unite to lead the People Power Party to victory.<\/p>\n
