The participants were Jin Geon-hee (39) and Lee Jong-seop (39) and their sons Lee Gi-baek (9) and Lee Gi-hyun (6).<\/p>\n<p> Their easy camaraderie was evident even before the race began. Jin said she entered the event to run with her family. She and her husband trained consistently in the weeks leading up to the race and set one clear goal: to finish. \u201cThis is my first marathon with my sons, and I think it will become a meaningful memory,\u201d she said, adding that \u201cthe course is nice and the weather is perfect for running.\u201d She also noted that both boys are young, so she isn\u2019t sure they\u2019ll be able to complete the full distance; the family\u2019s aim is simply to finish the 5 km (3.1 miles) safely and without injury.
