Reuters, citing the semi-official Fars News Agency, said Ali Abdollahi, commander of Khatam al\u2011Anbiya \u2014 the body that coordinates Iran\u2019s unified military forces \u2014 briefed Mojtaba Khamenei on Iran\u2019s readiness. Fars did not provide a specific date for the meeting.<\/p>\n

Abdollahi said Iran\u2019s military is prepared to confront any action by U.S. or Israeli adversaries and warned that if they \u201cmake a mistake,\u201d Iran would respond swiftly, forcefully and decisively.<\/p>\n

More than two months into the war, Iran has not formally responded to a ceasefire memorandum of understanding (MOU) proposed by the United States. Its military has repeatedly stressed it would respond forcefully if the U.S. launched another attack.<\/p>\n

State news agency IRNA quoted Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia in an interview saying that if the enemy miscalculates again and invades Iran, it will face a \u201csurprising response,\u201d which would include new weapons, new tactics and new battlefields.<\/p>\n

Two months after his selection as Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public or released any recordings of his voice.<\/p>\n
