<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n[EPN Enpinow reporter Go Nari] Actress Han Da-gam announced on social media that she has legally changed her name, drawing attention.<\/p>\n
On May 1, Han posted everyday photos to her account with the caption, “By the way, I’ve completely changed my name,” which prompted widespread interest.<\/p>\n
Observers interpret the announcement to mean she has legally changed her given name from Han Eun-jung \u2014 the name she used when she debuted in 1999 \u2014 to Han Da-gam.<\/p>\n
She previously altered her stage name in 2018 and explained the reasons for that change on a variety show.<\/p>\n
On that broadcast, Han said she suffered a fall at age seven that damaged her spine and required an extended course of treatment.<\/p>\n
She added that her health problems intensified in her twenties and that she continued to experience pain and discomfort even while working in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n
Recalling a visit to a temple, she said she was initially skeptical when a monk recommended changing her name but ultimately decided to do so \u2014 and that she is now the healthiest she has been.<\/p>\n
Han drew significant attention when she married a businessman one year her senior in 2020.<\/p>\n
She announced a later-in-life pregnancy and said she conceived after a single round of IVF.<\/p>\n
She also noted that she had been preparing for this while continuing to work in theater.<\/p>\n
She has received many well wishes since the pregnancy and continues to share updates about her life.<\/p>\n
