On the 24th, MBN aired ‘Jeon Hyun\u2011moo’s Plan,’ which followed the pair as they continued a tour of Seoul’s back alleys.<\/p>\n

They stopped at a 47-year-old tteokbokki joint in Sinsudong. The shop\u2019s unconventional ordering system\u2014serving portions based on how much you pay\u2014caught their attention. When someone called it the naengmyeon of tteokbokki, Jeon couldn\u2019t help but wonder what it would taste like.<\/p>\n

When the soupy tteokbokki arrived with the rice cakes already sliced, both men stared in fascination. The restaurant uses scissors and spoons instead of chopsticks or forks. Sampling it for the first time, Jeon blurted out, “What is this?” clearly puzzled.<\/p>\n

He shot his dining partner a questioning look.
