Officials said they will finish remaining work in phases and open sections sequentially from the 9th through the end of June.<\/p>\n<p> Work is concentrated north of Gyeongju Station, running from Gwangmyeong Samgeori (three-way intersection) through the First Hwacheon Bridge to the Hwacheon 1-ri community center. Straightening and improving the route as a primary traffic artery into downtown should boost traffic efficiency.<\/p>\n<p> Acting Mayor Choi Hyuk-jun said, \u201cThe Gwangmyeong\u2013Hwacheon road is core infrastructure linking the new KTX Gyeongju station area and downtown.
