The display, which begins near the Gongjicheon Ethiopia Caf\u00e9, had everyone oohing and snapping photo after photo.<\/p>\n<p>Strangers happily took turns shooting each other\u2019s pictures, creating a warm, communal vibe throughout the area. City officials stationed staff around Gongjicheon to manage foot traffic and keep things safe.<\/p>\n<p>Many weekenders also rented pedal boats on the river and crossed the Chuncheon Sairo 248 suspension bridge, enjoying the scenery from both water and walkway. Traffic slowed in spots as drivers poured in to catch the blooms.<\/p>\n<p>Wonju\u2019s decommissioned Bangok Station and Yonsei University\u2019s Mirae Campus were also popular stops, drawing students and local residents who strolled blossom-lined paths and soaked up the spring sunshine.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day of the Gangneung Cherry Blossom Festival, visitors arrived early at hotspots like the Gyodong housing area, Gyeongpo Provincial Park and the Gyeongpo Ecological Retention Basin. Even though rain the day before had knocked down many petals, festival-goers still posed for commemorative photos.<\/p>\n<p>East Coast visitors also made their way to major beaches and hunted down beloved local eateries.<\/p>\n<p>Hikers headed to Gangwon\u2019s iconic peaks\u2014Seoraksan, Chiaksan, Odaesan and Taebaeksan\u2014throughout the day to breathe in the fresh spring
