After the adrenaline rush in Nicaragua, he traveled 18 hours to Guatemala for an even bigger challenge.<\/p>\n

His ultimate goal was to summit Acatenango\u2014the volcano from a photo that had inspired him. The trek up to base camp, over 3,700 m (about 12,140 ft), was grueling.<\/p>\n

When fellow hikers debated turning back because of thin air and steep trails, Noh showed his warmth\u2014lending clothing and encouraging his companions along the way.<\/p>\n

At base camp, he watched Fuego rise above the clouds, roaring and spewing red lava every 10 minutes. He said, \\”I feel like I’m in heaven,\\” and was left speechless by nature’s overwhelming grandeur.<\/span><\/p>\n

He capped the trip with a bike ride through the Valley of Fire near Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
