[The Public \u2014 Reporter Yang Won-mo] Hyundai Green Food, part of the Hyundai Department Store Group, is turning popular dishes from neighborhood restaurants in Daejeon, Sejong and South Chungcheong into home meal replacements (HMRs) and rolling them out nationwide.<\/p>\n

On the 30th, Hyundai Green Food announced it had signed a partnership with the Daejeon\u00b7Sejong\u00b7Chungnam office of the Small Enterprise and Market Service and the Hundred-Year Store Daejeon\u00b7Sejong Cooperative to help brand local eateries and promote a safer food environment.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, the three organizations will identify standout local restaurants and begin converting their signature dishes into packaged HMR products. They plan to recruit participating small business owners this month, co-develop the products, and launch them in August.<\/p>\n

Once completed, the HMRs will be sold nationwide through Hyundai Green Food\u2019s online and offline distribution channels.<\/p>\n

Hyundai Green Food says it will draw on lessons from its community brand Everyone’s Eats, launched in 2021. The company plans to apply the know-how it gained turning traditional market fare and neighborhood restaurant dishes into high-quality ready-to-eat products.<\/p>\n

Separately from product development, the partners will provide free food-safety consulting for local small business owners. Whether or not a restaurant joins the HMR program, hygiene experts from the participating organizations will visit sites, conduct thorough inspections, and offer tailored training.<\/p>\n
