On the 26th, his agency SM C&C confirmed that Yoo has been cast in ENA’s upcoming Monday\u2013Tuesday series ‘Scarecrow.’ The role reunites him with director Park Jun-woo\u2014who previously helmed ‘Model Taxi’ and ‘Crash’\u2014marking their third collaboration. <\/p>\n

‘Scarecrow’ centers on a detective hunting a serial killer who finds himself forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he once loathed. The series has already generated buzz for its ensemble cast, which includes Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, Kwak Sun-young, Song Geon-hee, Seo Ji-hye, Jung Moon-sung, Baek Hyun-jin and Yoo Seung-mok. <\/p>\n

Yoo will portray Cha Moo-jin, a former military general turned influential politician and the father of elite prosecutor Cha Si-young (played by Lee Hee-joon). Characterized by authority and icy reserve, Cha Moo-jin is expected to add a tense, commanding presence to the show. <\/p>\n

Across television and film, Yoo has built a reputation for memorable, genre-spanning performances in titles such as ‘Mary Kills People,’ ‘Hyper Knife,’ ‘Moving’ and the film ‘Decision to Leave.’ Last year, his nuanced portrayal of corporate executive Baek Sang-mu in JTBC’s hit ‘The Story of Manager Kim \u2014 A Big-Corp Executive Who Owns a Home in Seoul’ resonated with many viewers for its authentic depiction of middle-aged men’s realities. <\/p>\n
