Recently, South Korean research institutions have begun participating in EU multilateral R&amp;D programs, expanding international joint research efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The EU signaled it is eager to broaden cooperation in the automotive and aviation sectors and hopes to extend collaboration into new industries, including environmental technologies and next\u2011generation mobility.<\/p>\n<p>Kim said, &#8220;We are cultivating the future mobility industry with a focus on commercializing autonomous vehicles. I expect Korea\u2011EU cooperation on vehicle safety standards and autonomous\u2011driving technology to strengthen our global competitiveness.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;We should build on cooperation in aviation safety and air traffic management to expand collaboration on eco\u2011friendly aviation policies and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Both sides agreed to
