[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Chef Kim Hee-eun will open up about a painful family history for the first time.<\/p>\n

On the 24th broadcast, SBS’s Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 \u2014 You Are My Destiny will, for the first time on television, feature the Michelin Guide Korea 2026 awards ceremony, a true festival of culinary stars.<\/p>\n

That night, an unusually tense atmosphere hovered over Kim Hee-eun and her husband, Yoon Dae-hyun. They had received an invitation to the 2026 Michelin Guide Korea awards but kept it secret from everyone \u2014 close chef friends, family, friends and even their own staff \u2014 forcing themselves to hide even their smiles to preserve confidentiality until the event.<\/p>\n

In the studio, cast members erupted in congratulations, noting that a Michelin invite usually signals at least a one-star confirmation and could even mean promotion to two stars. While preparing to open their restaurant, the couple executed a cloak-and-dagger secrecy operation worthy of a 007 film. Viewers will be watching to see whether Kim and Yoon’s tight-lipped approach to the Michelin invitation pays off.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony itself is a who\u2019s who of Korea\u2019s top chefs \u2014 a genuine festival of stars. It features judge An Seong-jae, known as the “Black-and-White Chef” for his razor-sharp palate that unsettles peers; Son Jong-won, the singular “Twin-Star” chef who captured the hearts of many; and Kang Min-gu, the country’s only three-Michelin-star chef. Their appearances riveted the studio.<\/p>\n

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Michelin Guide Korea, the ceremony’s scale was unprecedented. Studio members said it was the first time they’d seen the Michelin awards on TV and that the energy felt different. Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 will broadcast, for the first time, the tense moment when the 2026 stars are announced.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Kim stunned the room by revealing she met her birth mother for the first time at 18. Born amid her parents’ divorce and raised without a mother, she confessed she had always wondered what having a mother would feel like. When the program aired the first words she spoke to her mother after 18 years apart, the studio reportedly broke down in tears.<\/p>\n

The episode offers the first televised look at star chef Kim Hee-eun’s unexpected childhood and the glamorous culinary celebration at the Michelin Guide Korea awards.<\/p>\n
