Reflecting on memories with his mother, he wrote that he hadn\u2019t expected her to go so soon, and that he hadn\u2019t been able to say everything he wanted to say to her or hear everything she might have wanted to tell him, expressing his deep sorrow.<\/p>\n<p> He added that, though he felt incapable of even arranging a proper service, he managed to hold one. He said he was able to get through it because so many people shared his grief, came to offer condolences and embraced him. He thanked everyone, saying he had received more comfort than he felt he deserved.<\/p>\n<p> Shin also noted that he stepped on a scale by chance and expected he\u2019d lost at least 5kg (about 11 lb), but it showed only a 1.5kg (about 3.3 lb) loss, which left him baffled. He said he\u2019s still overwhelmed by people\u2019s concern but will do his best to keep eating and take care of himself to ease others\u2019 worries.<\/p>\n<p> Earlier, Shin Ki-ru\u2019s mother passed away on the 17th. She was 68 years old.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u25b2Below is Shin Ki-ru&#8217;s full social media post<\/b><\/p>\n<p> When I was little and threw a fit at the hospital because I didn\u2019t want a shot,<\/p>\n<p> Mom would tell me she\u2019d give me something if I behaved after taking it\u2014<\/p>\n<p> the banana milk and snacks I loved.<\/p>\n<p> She\u2019d be waiting for me with them in her hand..<\/p>\n<p> I would clutch the banana milk tightly<\/p>\n<p> and sit there like a grown-up Hyun-jeong, waiting for Mom to finish her makeup.<\/p>\n<p> I didn\u2019t expect Mom to leave so soon,<\/p>\n<p> so I couldn\u2019t say the things I wanted to say to her,<\/p>\n<p> and I couldn\u2019t hear the things she might have wanted to tell me.<\/p>\n<p> I\u2019ll keep speaking to you in my heart\u2014please listen and watch over me, Mom.<\/p>\n<p> And all of Mom\u2019s acquaintances told me<\/p>\n<p> that she considered me her pride.<\/p>\n<p> That brought me some comfort.<\/p>\n<p> Thank you, Mom.<\/p>\n<p> I, who couldn\u2019t even properly set up a funeral,<\/p>\n<p> managed to hold one.<\/p>\n<p> So many people sent their condolences,<\/p>\n<p> so many came by,<\/p>\n<p> shared my sorrow and hugged me\u2014<\/p>\n<p> that\u2019s what made it possible.<\/p>\n<p> I haven\u2019t done anything for people,<\/p>\n<p> and yet I received overwhelmingly more comfort than I felt I deserved.<\/p>\n<p> I will never forget. I will remember and live with gratitude.<\/p>\n<p> I want to contact each person and thank them personally soon..<\/p>\n<p> but my heart is still heavy, and I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n<p> I\u2019ll reach out and greet you properly soon.<\/p>\n<p> I didn\u2019t step on the scale out of vanity or a sudden interest in beauty\u2014<\/p>\n<p> there just happened to be a scale, so I stepped on it.<\/p>\n<p> I expected I\u2019d lost at least 5kg,<\/p>\n<p> but it showed just 1.5kg lost, which left me completely puzzled.<\/p>\n<p> I\u2019m not ready to carry everyone\u2019s worries yet,<\/p>\n<p> but
