Failure to comply on-site or repeat violations could result in fines up to 200,000 KRW (150 USD) or even detention. <br \/> Allowing a dog to stick its head out of the window is also considered a visibility obstruction, leading to similar penalties. <br \/> The issue is that many drivers believe it&#8217;s acceptable for short distances or with calm dogs. However, the law applies uniformly, regardless of trip length or the pet&#8217;s temperament. <br \/> Traffic safety experts warn that animals can behave unpredictably.
