HanmiGlobal said on April 13 that it will hold an international summit on April 17 at the POSCO Center in Gangnam, Seoul, to outline the role and growth strategies for construction project management (PM) in the AI era.
The summit, titled \”Rewriting the Future of Global PM in the AI Era,\” is organized by HanmiGlobal, hosted by the Construction Industry Vision Forum, and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Sessions will include AI-driven business innovation case studies from UK PM firm Turner & Townsend and presentations on recent construction AI research by teams from the Technical University of Munich and the Technion, Israel. The program will also examine the current state and future trajectories of core construction technologies such as digital twins, AI-based process monitoring, and autonomous systems.
The keynote address will be delivered by David Waisol, chief operating officer of Turner & Townsend, on \”Turner & Townsend’s Growth Strategy and the Future of PM in the AI Era.\” Special presentations will follow from Andre Boerman, director of the Construction AI Center at the Technical University of Munich, and Rafael Sacks, director of the National Building Research Institute at the Technion. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided for the international speakers on the day of the event.
After the keynote, Professor Kang Lee of Yonsei University will chair a panel that includes the international speakers, Professor Changbeom Ahn of Seoul National University, Jung Bu-young, Executive Director at HanmiGlobal, and Geunhyung Lee, Managing Director at POSCO E&C. The panel will discuss changes in the global PM industry under the theme \”Growth Strategies for PM in the AI Era.\”
