[Sports Today reporter Song Oh-jung] Netflix has confirmed that its series “True Education” will be released on Friday, June 5, and has released a teaser poster and trailer.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “True Education” (writers Lee Nam-gyu, Kim Da-hee and Moon Jong-ho; director Hong Jong-chan) centers on a fictional government agency, the Bureau for the Protection of Educational Authority, established to defend South Korea’s education system from students, teachers and parents who cross the line. The series promises a cathartic, hard-hitting take on restoring order and will be available to global audiences on June 5.

The series uses the original premise of a government agency—the Bureau for the Protection of Educational Authority—to confront the realities of classroom life directly, delivering a story that aims to be both cathartic and sincere.

The teaser’s tagline, “We Will Protect You,” positions the bureau as an advocate for victims amid chaotic school scenes and raises questions about how it will respond to each case.

Starring Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo and Pyo Ji-hoon, “True Education” premieres on Netflix on June 5.
