[EPN NPNow reporter Seo Hye-bin] Billlie is sustaining momentum at home and abroad with the double-title tracks from their first full-length album.
Billlie released their debut full-length album, ‘the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two,’ on the 6th. In the second week of their comeback, they appeared on major domestic music programs to perform both title tracks, \”ZAP\” and \”WORK.\”
On MBC M’s \”Show! Champion,\” members Siyoon, Sheon, Tsuki, Moon Sua, Haram, Suhyun and Haruna debuted \”WORK\” on a music show — the first broadcast performance of a stage fans had repeatedly requested.
\”WORK\” fuses bass house with industrial hip-hop into a hybrid sound. Member Moon Sua co-wrote the lyrics, adding to Billlie’s distinct musical identity. The group delivered the performance with precise dynamic control and seamless choreography.
The other title track, \”ZAP,\” layers a hard-hitting beat with vocals and rap from all seven members. Billlie showed tight ensemble chemistry through varied facial expressions and a powerful stage presence.
The group also extended promotions beyond broadcast stages, appearing on Dingo’s web programs \”MoveRec\” and \”Dingo Live.\” They performed \”ZAP\” on \”MoveRec\” and sang the album cut \”B’yond me\” on \”Dingo Live,\” demonstrating their live vocal chops.
\”ZAP\” held the No. 1 spot on YouTube Korea’s daily Shorts popular songs chart for five consecutive days. \”WORK\” has also stayed near the top of YouTube Korea’s rising music chart and the daily popular music video rankings.
Following the release, Billlie topped the iTunes Dance album chart in 12 countries and territories, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, Japan and Indonesia. In their second week back, they continue to register strong engagement across domestic and international platforms.
Streaming services such as Melon and Spotify have reported increasing listener traffic. On Japan’s iTunes Dance Top Songs chart, \”WORK\” reached No. 2 while \”ZAP\” landed at No. 3.
The album track \”B’yond me\” was also named one of Spotify editors’ songs of the month for May. Attention is extending beyond the double title tracks to album cuts as well.
Billlie has heightened their profile with a signature style they call \”Billlie-core,\” which blends music, live vocals and performance. With \”ZAP\” and \”WORK\” leading the way, the group is continuing to climb charts and expand their presence on platforms both domestically and overseas.
