[Sports Seoul | Reporter Kim Mi-young] Traditional liquor maker Baesangmyeonju announced on June 1 that it’s releasing a limited-edition seasonal plum spirit called Maesil Maju, made from green plums, just in time for summer.
Maesil Miju is crafted by fermenting Gyeonggi rice with fresh green plums, resulting in a bright aroma and zesty flavor. Serve it chilled for a sweeter note, or at room temperature to enjoy a richer, more layered profile. It’s bottled in 700 ml (23.7 fl oz) containers and has an alcohol content of 12% ABV.
The release is capped at 2,026 bottles and will be available at Homesul.com and at 39 Slow Village Brewery locations nationwide. Pre-order by June 3 to grab a 15% discount.
Baesangmyeonju rolls out a limited “Sesiju” collection each season — shepherd’s-purse liquor in spring, plum liquor in summer, chrysanthemum liquor in autumn, and dosoju in winter.
