‘3LCD X 3LED’ engine delivers up to a 150-inch screen…
Offers Google TV, wireless charging and a low-latency game mode
Targets the lifestyle projector market by emphasizing interior design
Big-screen competition in South Korea’s home-entertainment market is moving beyond the television. As viewers stream more content, host house parties and take entertainment outdoors for camping, the places where people watch have multiplied. Projectors are evolving from basic video devices into lifestyle appliances that combine design and portability. Epson Korea is targeting that shift with a premium home projector that pairs Bose audio, 4K imaging and Google TV.
Epson Korea said on the 26th that it has unveiled the EF-73, the latest model in its Lifestudio home-projector line. Lifestudio is Epson’s sub-brand for home projectors; it aims to deliver a home-entertainment experience that encompasses space, taste and lifestyle as well as content viewing.
The EF-73 adopts a black, \”quiet-luxury\” design intended to reduce the bulky look of traditional projectors and blend more naturally with interior décor. With a single touch, the unit can double as a mood light while you watch, reinforcing its role as a décor object as well as a display device.
The projector uses Epson’s 3LCD X 3LED triple-core engine. It supports 4K resolution and delivers equal white and color brightness of 1,000 lumens according to ISO standards. The EF-73 can project up to a 150-inch screen for movies, sports and games.
Sound is handled with Bose technology. Epson says the projector produces balanced audio without the need for external speakers, enhancing the home-cinema experience. The EF-73 also improves usability with automatic keystone correction, automatic obstacle detection and avoidance, auto-screen fit and automatic color-wall correction. Its built-in stand adjusts up to 60 degrees vertically and 180 degrees horizontally, so you can aim the image at walls, ceilings or other surfaces.
The projector ships with Google TV OS, letting users stream Netflix, YouTube, Disney+ and other services without an external device. It supports USB-C for outdoor use with a portable battery and includes wireless smartphone charging. The EF-73 also offers a low-latency gaming mode and a microphone-linked karaoke mode.
Kim Dae-yeon, head of sales and marketing at Epson Korea, said, \”The EF-73 delivers exceptional image quality and portability to meet a wide range of consumer needs. Through the Lifestudio brand, we will continue to introduce lifestyle products that fit seamlessly into daily life.\”
